Being a health conscious person, Yana follows a certain diet."I eat only fresh and raw food.My diet consists of a lot of vegetables, fruits and juices. Being a strict vegetarian, I don't even touch any non-vegetarian food," she said.
ok, youtube deleted my account where I uploaded some videos describing meat-eating...That's too bad but i oppened a new one... and I can write here also anyway :)
meat-eaters eat an average of 85 animals per year. We kill an estimated 53 billion animals for food each year in the world, this number does not include fish and all marine animals, so that comes up to an estimated 100 billion animals annually. Add the millions of animals killed for fur and the dozens of millions animals killed for testing shampoo and other cosmetics or medications...
Flesh-eaters: necrophages = corpse-eaters... assassins, serial killers, mercenaries, brutes... eating meat without hunting: scavengers, sapotrophs, detritivores... Vampires, bloodsuckers, parasites, leeches, worms, vultures, carnivores, cannibals... killing animals / eating dead animals with no remorse: psychopaths, schizos... eating carcass: freaks, sickos...
I love all animals, even insects, but I don't like at all those that could eat me, and all those that suck my blood or attack me for other reasons then just for their defense. I understand a rhino that charge on me if I'm on his territory; he's afraid, he thinks I might attack him, if I show him I dont want to hurt him and I leave, perhaps he wont harm me. I don't like those carnivorous animals that will bite me just because they're fucked up in the head, just because they're natural born killers. I love plants but I wouldn't like if a fucking carnivorous plant eats me alive (I know its not really possible). Meateaters and other sickos eating corpses of dead animals in the form of a Big Mac... I hate those fucking vampires: bedbugs, ticks, catfleas that jump on you to suck your blood, red ants that eat you alive, fucking leeches, bats - all those blood suckers are ugly animals or is it just coincidence? - moose flies, black flies, mosquitos and other bugs that spread diseases, Aids and other viruses... intestinal worms, carnivores, killers and other predators, parasites and other calamities of this world that nobody likes. I mean I like cats, they're cute, and nice - when domesticated - but I dont like them when I see them having fun torturing a poor innocent mouse, totally terrified, pretrified with fear, her tiny heart beats so fast that it could explode, and those cats like that, they're not even killing the mouse, just hitting it with their paws and claws and teeths, playing for half an hour. What if I did the same thing to them, I'm sure they wouldn't like it, and I wouldn't like it either. For a few weeks I was being really stressed out because of work, and because of my cat itself always making noise because she was herself stressed of her first pregnancy, then she was stressed and acting insane with her new born kittens so sometimes I would throw my cat 5 meters away, I would just grab her suddenly and throw her, so she became afraid of me, and each time I was doing this I felt so bad for her and guilty, and she was getting even more stressed and unhappy, and me too, which is a sign that violence and brutality are bad. Good and Bad DO exist, no matter if there's a God or not, or justice, law, police, whatever: we feel fear, remorse, joy, these feelings represent abstract, yet real, values: good and bad. Yes death is natural. Yes a tiger killing an antilope is natural, but not necessarily good just because it is natural... Bad is natural too. But just because its natural doesn't mean we must do it. We can do the Good, natural way too. I'd like a world without those parasites. If we cant make them disapear, at least let's change, us, humans that eat flesh like vulgar ogres.. come on, wake up ! are you so decadent that you eat some dead chickens with dead skin, dead muscles, with blood, nerves, and you always ask for more...
It's about doing good to me and around me. It's about not harming myself, and not doing any bad to others.
When I'm hungry I'm naturally atracted by fresh fruits, like an apple or some strawberries, that will satisfy my hunger, my physiological needs, my desire for flavors and good tastes. Fruits are sweet and delicious.
I eat this because I want to. I could eat meat if I wanted to. But I don't want to. Why would I want to eat animals. Why would I need to put corpses and carcasses into my body? Who needs this? Nobody.
People force babies to eat meat. All babies are reluctant to meat. That's all natural. Offer an apple and a piece of meat, the baby will always choose the apple. That's a proven experiment that every parent can try at home.
Man has no claws, sharp teeths; nothing particularly agressive about the human body, we don't have a predator body. We don't have a killer instinct neither; unlike wolves and tigers, we're not natural born killers. Therefore we need weapons to hunt and kill, fire to cook. Man came before the axe or other tools, he couldn't have been omnivore or carnivore. Fruits were on the planet way before tools. We couln't eat meat at the beginning. Because of climatic reasons and the impossibility to find anything that grows in trees or on the ground, at some times and some places, men needed to eat animal flesh in order to survive. Man is an opportunist animal, who will eat what it finds, anything which is edible, that's the survival instinct. When man had a more developped brain, he invented agriculture, with more and more complex systems, there was always food available, and he ate less and less meat. There was no need to go hunt or kill. Larger societies formed, with poors and rich people. Meat reappeared in the diet, on the menu of the rich. 10kg of the food of the poor is needed to produce only 1 kg of food for the rich.
Today it's a big mistake to eat meat. People say that we always have been eating meat. Man made many mistakes during the history of mankind. One of them was to eat animals when there was other choices. Now it's getting worse and worse. Let's not perpetrate ad nauseam the mistakes of our past, but learn from the mistakes. Evolve.

"Meat itself does not have taste nor smell so we fry, cook, and season it to improve its taste. When meat is processed, it releases about 20 poisonous substances that can cause damage to blood vessels and the nervous system. The digestion of meat requires large amounts of vitamins and microelements. If we do not eat adequate amounts of raw vegetable salads together with meat, digestion is incomplete and the undigested meat putrefies in our intestines. The putrefaction processes increase the alkalinity of our large intestine, which leads to blood acidity. Alkaline environment promotes the development of diseased cells (especially cancerous). Those who excessively consume meat are the prime candidates for cancer."
Researcher Ethel R Nelson MD says meat eating is at the root of many health issues:
"For about the past twenty-five years, researchers in human nutrition have pointed to the unrefined plant dietary as a more ideal food than animal products. They have designated the Western world's high-fat animal product, fibre-poor, refined diet as the chief cause of so-called "Western diseases", e.g. coronary heart disease, diabetes, obesity, gallstones, appendicitis, diverticulitis of the bowel, hiatus hernia, hemorrhoids, osteoporosis, kidney disorders, varicose veins, cancer, and accelerated sexual development in children.
Some of today's most prevalent and devastating diseases in the United States have now been credited to excessive consumption of meat and animal products (milk, cheese, eggs) and insufficient ingestion of plant foods."
Some of today's most prevalent and devastating diseases in the United States have now been credited to excessive consumption of meat and animal products (milk, cheese, eggs) and insufficient ingestion of plant foods."
Harvey Diamond explains that humans are not natural carnivores:
"A carnivore's teeth are long sharp and pointed - all of them! We have molars for crushing and grinding. A carnivore's jaws move up and down only, for tearing and biting. Ours can move from side to side for grinding. A carnivore's saliva is acid and geared to the digestion of animal protein; it lacks ptyalin, a chemical that digests starches. Our saliva is alkaline and contains ptyalin for the digestion of starch. A carnivore's stomach is a simple, round sack that secretes ten times more hydrochloric acid than that of a non-carnivore. Our stomachs are oblong in shape, complicated in structure, and convoluted with a duodenum.
A carnivore's intestines are three times the length of its trunk, designed for rapid expulsion of animal proteins, which quickly rot. Our intestines are twelve times the length of our trunks and designed to keep food in them until all nutrients are extracted. The liver of a carnivore is capable of eliminating ten to fifteen times more uric acid than the liver of a non-carnivore. Our livers have the capacity to eliminate only a small amount of uric acid. Uric acid is an extremely dangerous toxic substance that can wreak havoc in your body. All meat consumption releases large quantities of uric acid into the system. Unlike most carnivores and omnivores, humans do not have the enzyme uricase to break down uric acid.
A carnivore does not sweat through the skin and has no pores. We do sweat through the skin and have pores. A carnivore's urine is acid. Ours is alkaline. A carnivore's tongue is rough, ours is smooth. Our hands are perfectly designed for plucking fruit from a tree, not for tearing the guts out of the carcass of a dead animal as are a carnivore's claws."
Some more exerpts from the featured article on care2 "the truth about meat/the time bomb"
The digestion of meat needs large amounts of vitamins and microelements that are taken from the child’s blood. Depleted levels of these substances cause the development of hidden anemia and blood diseases. Ironically, all kinds of allergies, eczemas, and other disorders typical for the age of puberty are usually the result of our parents’ well-intended care. Unaware of the dangers, they cause damage to their children’s health by including too much meat in the diet.
...Eastern philosophy teaches that each food product we consume contains information about its place of birth and development: - the climate, the exposure to sunrays, moonlight, etc. What kind of information can be contained in meat? (Cattle) They are raised their entire lives without sunlight or fresh air. Instead of eating fresh, juicy grass, they are fed hormones and various synthetic feeds.
...Faced with aggression and driven by fear, a slaughtered animal’s body produces large amounts of poisonous hormones, which we consume later as we enjoy our steaks. No wonder that both adults and children become increasingly aggressive and hot-tempered. Aggression always breeds aggression - this old truth is confirmed by the results of high meat consumption.
Think about the life of the animal, who lived a miserable life in a dark and dirty slaughterhouse before it became the corpse that lie on your plate. Think about your dog or your cat, would you eat them? Why not ? other nations do eat these animals. This cooked slice of steak, with seasonings and condiments, had eyes, a heart, a body and a life.
Everybody knows now that animals are not treated well in the slaughterhouses. But most people prefer to act as if they didn't know, or try to convince themselves it's normal, that we don't have the choice, etc... We always have the choice. You have the choice to participate in this industry or not. If you don't already know how bad the animals are treated, I invite you to watch movies like Earthlings, Meet your Meat, Hidden Tears Behind the Iron Wall, Our Daily Bread, and many others, on the website of Peta, on Youtube, Google Video or here on my blog. It's pretty easy to find images on the web showing the truth about the cruelty to animals, and those who stay impassive to this suffering should try to imagine being at their place, living in a constant fear of dying. Or this should visit a slaughterhouse - if only it was permitted - and hear the screaming of pain and distress, and be splashed with blood. But if those strong methods don't work, you're hopeless, and doomed to burn in hell for eternity. Because the methods of teaching compassion and peace will never work neither. But it doesn't cost anything to try; so here are some interesting videos:
55 billion animals are killed every year by sadistic humans, 90% of them live in factory farms and never feel the warm of the sun on their back. Every sentient being is a precious individual. To those who impose stress, pain and death to non-human animals, may we see that their suffering is directly linked to our own, or you shall recieve the same sentence.
“May those who turn a blind eye to the suffering of non-human sentient beings finally see” – Buddhist Prayer
But let's not forget that "An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching" Compassion is action. Be the change you wish to see in the world... ~Ghandi
"We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."
Immanuel Kant German Philosopher
"Lobsters are fascinating. The have a long childhood and an awkward adolescence. The use complicated signals to explore and establish social relationships with others. Their communications are direct and sophisticated. They flirt. Their pregnancies last for nine months. Some are right handed, some left handed. They've even been seen walking hand-in-hand. Some can live to be more than 150 years old, though few (1%) survive the world's most devastating predator-the species with whom lobsters share so many traits-the human being."
Ingrid Newkirk National Director: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
SOMEONE CREATED AND POSTED THIS IMAGE... what the hell is that?
OK... I'm a vegetarian (more precisely, a vegan), and... explain what ? I see some teeth... what is their to explain ? Oh I see, you're talking about canines and incisors... You mean... LIKE THESE :
... ?? ... AND ALSO THIS :
And these...
The teeth thing... The guy that created the pic on top of this post is mentally illed and should be imprisoned. There's corpse-eaters that will try to find all the wicked excuses in the world to try to prove they're right and that humans are supposed to be carnivore, that meat is the base of the original diet, and that basically all vegetarians and vegans are wrong and doing some kind of metaphysical mistake... (By the way, the original diet of humans is fruitarianism. We've almost never found any animal proteins DNA in fossilized prehistoric men excrements, but always vegetal proteins in large amounts. Even if cavemen did it some meat -- to survive-- it is not necessary anymore, now that food is easily available. If man was eating meat before, it is not a reason to perpetuate indefinitely their mistakes. EVOLVE. If you wanna use the Cro-Magnon man and the Neanderthal man as your role model, go ahead, but you're kind of a retard if you do this and behind the times). That's it, go back to when we had no brain. So guess what, they use some of the facts that prove we are not designed to eat meat, and they reverse these facts to their advantage ! ahahaha ! Vegetarians use the teeth reason to prove we're not carnivores, because manifestly our canines our pathetic, shorter than even our molars, while carnivores have long sharp molars and canines. Some meat-eaters will say our teeth are like those of wolves... What ? Perhaps you need new eyes, or you're just a fucking liar with bad faith. We have a dentition of horse. There's even many people with huge teeth in the front like rabbits. But some carnivores say: look we have canines ! well what did you think ? We have canines, fruitarian animals have canines, carnivore animals surely have some, herbivores animals too. Someone even claimed our body is more similar to wolves than primates like chimpanzee and gorillas. This guy needs a new brain, or perhaps his perception of reality is altered by warewolves stories. But it's ridiculous, you can't go bite in a cow with a human dentition, lol. It will tear your teeth and your gum will bleed, while the cow will laugh at you and shit on your face. Noticed there are two animals in these pics that are not carnivores ? Yes, the dog, is an omnivore, while the cat is a pure carnivore. Means the dog can easily live without meat, not like his cousin the wolf. Noticed that there's a vegan/fruitarian animal among these above ? The gorilla. Look at these canines, yet, gorillas never eat meat. It shows that teeth are not always a reliable indicator for which diet is the best. You can judge by all the other anatomy similarities with primates and humans, clearly showing that we're perfectly adapted to a diet based entirely on fruits, and meat will rot in our stomach and intestines for 3 days, while the meat leave the body after 3 hours in the case of carnivores. They also have special enzymes and good bacterias that we don't have and which are designed to kill bad bacterias contained in raw, rotten meat; these bacterias would kill us in no time, so we cook meat, to kill them.
"You can't tear flesh by hand, you can't tear hide by hand. Our anterior teeth are not suited for tearing flesh or hide. We don't have large canine teeth, and we wouldn't have been able to deal with food sources that required those large canines."
--Renowned anthropologist, Dr.Richard Leakey (Neal Barnard, The Power Of Your Plate, Book Publishing Company: Summertown, Tenn., 1990, p.170)
Scroll down on this page until you see the board with compared anatomy and physiology. To be more accurate, they should have put also the informations concerning fruitarian animals, because we are more similar to those than the herbivores. We are not herbivores nor omnivores or carnivores, but fruitarians.
We don't have long and sharp teeth, we don't have claws. Our body is innoffensive with nothing particularly dangerous; to prove it just try to measure yourself against any carnivore predator -- he'll show you and teach you what's a carnovore, by ripping your arms and legs and tearing your flesh and then eating your whole body raw in a single meal. Humans who eat meat are capricious and picky, they will eat lean meat. If you claim you're a carnivore, then do it right: eat like a carnivore : kill your prey yourself, eat it raw and the whole body, including all the organs and intestines, brain, etc.
Unlike natural carnivores, we are physically and psychologically unable to rip animals limb from limb and eat and digest their raw flesh. Even cooked meat is likely to cause human beings, but not natural carnivores, to suffer from food poisoning, heart disease, and other ailments. http://www.geocities.com
If you try all this: First of all, you won't even be able to catch and kill a prey, at least not everyday or enough to survive. Second, you will puke while trying to stuff the bloody guts into your own guts.
Eating corpses is SICK and in fact cause many degenerative diseases due to intoxication. You poor necrophagous, your eating habits are based on ignorance and this will cause your untimely death.
There's some maniacs, killers and mercenaries who want to make us become carnivores so they can make profits. And the doctors will tell you meat is necessary, so they can seel you their pills. But you will never heal, unless you stop eating meat and animal products and believing in an illusion of cure by drugs and surgeries.
Dr. Herbert Shelton says that all carnivores, insectivores, parasites, necrophagous and detritivores are not normal and are pathological cases. All these animals that spread pain and do evil, they can't do anything without killing. These diets based on morbidity are degenerative and inevitably leads to extinction because they owe their survival on the behalf of others.
Specialists and great minds also clearly pointed out that eating meat leads to cannibalism at some point (humans already experienced cannibalism at different times and in different areas and nations, even right now).
Socrate also predicted since long ago that eating meat cause wars and violence, for territory... countries fight to cut the forests of other countries to install pastures for cattle feeding... until the overpopulation and demand will be too grand... leading eventually to cannibalism... a future ressembling like Soylent Green is not far away. By the way you can watch the entire movie for free here.
"Prime Minister Paul Martin on Wednesday condemned an animal rights campaign linking the eating of meat to the murders of women in British Columbia. Billboards in Toronto and in Edmonton paid for by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals show pictures of a woman and a pig accompanied by the slogan, "Neither Of Us Is Meat."
The allusion is to the women who disappeared during the 1990s in the Vancouver area. Port Coquitlam pig farmer Robert Pickton has been charged in the deaths of 15 women."
- NO NO, no need to eat corpses to be strong... !! Then why do it ? Go vegan please. There are athletes who don't eat meat and who excell in all disciplines. Carl Lewis was the fastest man on Earth. May it be speed, endurance, or strenght, veganism is the way to go. There is a long list of vegetarian athletes in John Robbins' book "Diet For A New America", like Paavo Nurmi who's got 20 world records and 9 olympic medals or Murray Rose, olympic gold medalist at the age of 17. Dr Irving Fisher at primate abuse Yale found that randomly selected vegetarians were able to hold their arms at length 9 times longer than members of the Yale football team) www.pcrm.org
17,003 Consecutive Situps: World Record Held By Vegetarian Alan Jones

Arnold Schwarzenegger says in his book, "Arnold's Body Building for Men":
"Kids nowadays...tend to go overboard when they discover body building and eat diets consisting of 50 to 70% protein--something I believe to be totally unnecessary... (In) my formula for basic good eating: eat about one gram of protein for every two pounds of body weight."
In the documentary "Pumping Iron", he says : "I drink no milk -- Milk is for babies"
MAC DANZIG, MMA fighter (mixed martial arts) in UFC. Record: 21-4-1. "A vegan, naturalist, animal lover and serious photographer, Danzig transcends the typical stereotype of a combat athlete." (quote from his website). He's winning against all other fighters, like those who feed themselves with corpses and those who still drink milk like babies.

Let's not forget the greatest martial artist and one of the greatest athlete of all time, as fit as one can be, Bruce Lee. Yes, he wasn't totally a vegetarian. But he wasn't eating a lot of meat, he also stopped drinking those whey protein shakes that made him look like a big bodybuilder, then he was able to achieve the physique he wanted: lean, incredible definition, fast, incredible speed and strength.
Why showing that some famous people are vegans ? Just to show that it's not only hippies, punks, nature fanatics, etc...
"oh you don't eat meat you will become anemic, you need b12 and you'll miss this and that" yeah yeah yeah. Some of the most beautiful, brillant and intelligent persons in the world chose to avoid eating meat.

"I gave up meat when I was 12. … One day I was cutting up a chicken for my mom, and I hit a tumor with the knife. There was [pus] and blood all over the place. That was enough for me."
Kim Basinger:
"If you could feel or see the suffering, you wouldn't think twice. Give back life. Don't eat meat."
Wu Tang Clan's Masta Killa:
"I never really liked meat. I was a child that had to be forced to eat my meat. Whatever you ate before [going vegetarian] that you loved—like turkey slices—they've got a substitute now that's not hard to find."
Mmm, Alicia Silverstone, Naomi Watts, such nice bodies, with absolutly no meat rotting inside their beautiful bodies. They're as pure as fresh fruits ; )
A little girl ended up in a slaughterhouse, she was found holding the corpse of a calf, like a mutilated doll.
One carnivore asked me a question, in a human and polite way --which is rare. Why us, vegetarians and vegans, always feel the need to tell other people how to live? Saying it is a very superior attitude towards others. He continues with this :
If you are truly a person who seeks peace, then you would not be trying to push your beliefs onto other people. Ghandi said:
"Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right."
I do not try to force my beliefs on you, so what's your problem?
That's great. But I'm not forcing anyone or anything, just writing stuff. I'm not even an active activist for animal rights, not yet.You choose to read my words or not. You choose to try my doctrine on you if you want, to see if I'm lying or not. To quote Gandhi, he also said :
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
By some circumstances in my life, I came to a point where I finally understood something about life, animals, and my health. I changed, and became vegan. I'd like to share that discovery with others. But I can't make them change or even understand. It has to come from within their heart, I can only try to convince them to open their eyes and hearts, to at least try, so they could see another world that is presented to us with the milk and meat packed in cellophan in the grocery stores around the country, another world that McDonalds and Burger King show us. What's behind all this, it is kept secret. It is this that people need to see, the endless list of tragic consequences.
Cutting dogs in China So here's my problem. The problem is that it is not only my problem, but the problem of everybody, of all inhabitants of Earth, animals included, and the problem of the planet itself. If it was about wether or not to eat olives, that wouldn't bother me at all. But eating meat, dairies and eggs is something completely different.
PINK Eventhough I don't eat animal products anymore, the fact that some other people do it concerns me. I don't like to mind the business of others and vice versa. But your business must not cause death and suffering all around. The meat industry cause full of externalities. This notion applies to economy, ethic, health, ecology, etc. Rise of air pollution, water pollution, rise of healthcare, of violence, etc, etc...
You, meat eater, you contribute to the Holocaust of billions of innocent animals. Thousands of animals are slaughtered every second, only in America. I won't write all the numbers and statistics in this post, but see my posts labeled with "Stats/Facts". Suffice it to say that the extermination of 53 billion animals PER YEAR is the biggest massacre that humanity has ever perpetrated.
All those poor animals didn't chose to be the main participant involved in this industry of murders. You chose for them, in the name of the so-called human superiority over other species. That attitude of superiority is specism, like racism, fascism, and sexism. (see the movie Earthlings on Google video)
All carnivore animals are murderers. All human carnivores kill or order killings by paying mercenaries.ALL MURDERERS EAT MEAT.
They say: "we are omnivores", "we crave for meat", "we are carnivores", "we have canines", "cavemen ate meat", "humans are omnivores"... indeed they are, but they shouldn't be; they should be vegans, according to anatomy, physiology and biology; following the basic laws of life would avoid them their cancers and heart attacks. Humans are fruitarians. Humans are frugivores. Humans are whatever it is natural for them to be: Go in nature : will you pass a tree with fruits to go kill a cow? I don't think so. MEATEATERS ARE JUST RETARDS FROM NEANDERTAL UNABLE TO EVOLVE. Look, if you claim that humans are carnivore animals by nature, act like one, "walk your talk, or get back in your pram", like Harley would say. Go in the nature, go bite in the leg of a cow. Just try to kill an animal. You won't even be able to catch a squirrel. All you'll be able to kill are caterpillars, beetles and cockroaches. You'll have to eat ants, or a crushed skunk on the side of a road. But that's meat, so why don't you try it? Don't be so picky by choosing only lean meat and removing the skin, but rather eat the whole body, like real carnivores do. Meat eaters are ridiculous; you should eat the eyes, the brain, the sexual organs, everything, otherwise your diet will be incomplete. These body parts should be appealing to you. You're supposed to be attracted by blood and rotten flesh, and you should enjoy to stuff your head in some stinky guts. Well, guess what, it's not the case... We're primates, and just like apes, the bonobos, the closest cousin related to our specie, eats fruits, nuts, dark leafy greens, but no meat. If he eats animals, it's small insects, usually the ones that are on the greens, always a very small pourcentage of his diet. We have innoffensive bodies, except maybe Bruce Lee (who was a vegetarian), there is nothing agressive about how hands, our fingernails, our teeth. We are perfectly adapted to grab fruits in trees, we are not predators like lions and tigers.
Honnestly I don't see a huge difference physically when comparing my vegan diet to as when I was eating meat. But that's because it's hard to tell. It's many years ago, I had a different activity level too, and I made a long transition from omnivore to vegetarian for 5 years and then vegan. But I do see improvements in physical activities that I do, and I notice a big increase of energy. But don't be fooled; energy ain't only physical. I think part of my energy comes from the mind; being happy or depressed for instance, has a huge impact on your health, and not only mental health. Personally I feel way better with myself emotionally and intellectually, and happiness gives energy. I agree with what Jeremy Moore says here :
I like the fact that I can wake up every day knowing I’m not going to be responsible for killing others. I only wish those other people woke up every day thinking about they animals they kill on a daily basis.
Some say "I need meat" some others say "I don't need meat" some others say "I need coffee or I won't function normally" and some others say caffeine is poison. I don't believe in that crap "what's poison for someone is good for someone else", we all have similar bodies with nearly identical digestive systems. Just different calorie needs.
Someone eating raw meat and stuff said about veganism and raw vegans: "Idealistic diets don't work. The body isn't nourished on ideal"... well what do you think your diet of raw meat is for you ? (He claims his health dramatically decreased during his 6 months as a raw vegan, losing his hair and muscles) and what was your mindset when you were raw vegan? happy or persuaded you were making a mistake? To be fit you need to believe it. You can't be in shape if u don't believe it.
Socrate predicted that meat eating would cause wars. We're now cutting down trees in other countries to have more territories to grow and feed cattles for meat.
Dr. Herbert Shelton, as well as other naturalists before him like Thielden, said that meat eating automatically and inevitably lead to cannibalism eventually. He was right.
Cholesterol is only in the animal kingdom. Fibres are only in the vegetal kingdom. Vitamins, oxygen, chlorophyll, enzymes are mostly in fruits and greens. It is obvious that the wise choice to make is to opt for foods offered by the nature. Not wastes of the nature, like the animal corpses that are the animal products you eat.
Do you wanna be guilty of 100 murders per year, as well as being constipated by eating food with no fibres at all, and to die prematurely of an heart attack or cancer ?? Think about it.
Even if this documentary is pretty old, it is still very accurate. The facts are just worse now, more than 10 years later, things are not getting better, on the contrary.
FACTS from the 1995 documentary "Devour the Earth" narred by Paul McCartney
In Holland , the ratio cattle/humans is 7 for 1. The forests are dying due to acid rains, caused mainly by cattles. -we need 2 times more superficy to feed a meateater than for a vegetarian and 4 times more than a vegan. -In certain area, wastes from cattle ranching are responsible for 70% of the acid rains. -England could feed 250 millions of vegans -If everyone on Earth would eat like Americans, half of the world population could not eat at all -Meat production requires 12x more water than vegetables 10 kg of grains needed to produce only one kg of meat -Fish industry is not better at all : to produce 1 kg of salmon you need 5 kg of fish. -PCB, one of the most toxic product of all, is in the whole food chain but especially in water and the animals living in it. -40% of captured fish for consumption are sigh and have cancerous tumors. -About 240 000 tons of PCB polluted the oceans before it got banned from countries. Now it will stay in the environment, and food chain, for centuries.
ENVIRONMENT
-Before 1950, 14% of the world’s land was tropical rainforests. Now more than half are gone. -Half of animals live in rainforests and 90% of all the different species on the planet can be found in the forests -Each year, we cut trees of a superficy of Britain. Around 200 000 km2 per year -Most of this to make space for cattles or to grow soy to feed cattle -71% of cut trees in Costa Rica is for cattles. Nepal lost half of it’s forests in 20 years due to this too. -1 hectar or 2,5 acres are needed to raise only one animal -in 1991, latin america exports 8 millions tons of soy just to feed cattles -In 1989, astronauts saw from their spacecraft the smoke of thousands of fires : a surface of 2,6 millions square kilometers of trees burned in Amazonia. It was rainforests being cleared for cattle ranching. -Since 1970, the destruction of rainforest in south america caused a waste of 1,5 billion tons of carbon dioxyde in the atmosphere
-An acre of orchard produces about 35 times as much food as an acre of livestock agriculture and twice as much food as an acre of grain
(If the link of the video doesn't work, go on GlobeTransformer.org)
AGRO-FARMING, AGRO-BUSINESS Half of antibiotics goes to livestock. Pharmaceutic companies make billions by selling to agro-farming
MILK Free, in nature, a cow can produce up to 5 liters of milk per day. But confined by humans, and stuffed with drugs, a cow can produce up to 44 liters per day.
animals killed for food in the US only
27 billions/year 2 billion/month 700 000/ day 863/ seconds
British send 5000 horses to the slaughterhouse each year. In Canada, it is several hundred of thousands.
Sometimes as much as 90 000 chickens are in the same warehouse. The battery cages are worse.
IBP, Kansas, the largest slaughterhouse in the world. 6000 cows killed every day. Trucks arrive all day long like in a vision of the Holocaust.
Each year in Canada and USA, over 7 billion animals are killed for their flesh. Excluding fish.
MEAT 1950-2000 In 50 years, human pop. Doubled, but meat consuption 5 times In 50 years, fish consumption went up by 600% in the U.S Americans now eat as much chicken in a single day as they did in an entire year in 1930.
HEALTH The average North American sperm count has dropped over 25% since 1975 The average American has stretched their stomach to 2 or 3 times its normal size. Type 2 diabetes accounted for 2 to 4 percent of all childhood diabetes before 1992, but skyrocketed to 30 to 50 percent by 2004. The prevalence of obesity quadrupled in the past 25 years among boys and girls
Currently 15% of the U.S. population. In minority youth, this statistic climbs to 20%. Agri-business and food processing account for 60% of US oil consumption. In 2006, 1.5 million Americans died from dietary related diseases at a cost of $800 billion.
Cholesterol: typical daily dietary intake is 200–300 mg in the United States and societies adopting its dietary patterns.
A 2007 study pooling data on almost 900,000 subjects in 61 cohorts demonstrated that blood total cholesterol levels have an exponential effect on cardiovascular and total mortality, with the association more pronounced in younger subjects
There is no cholesterol in plant-based foods
Allergies and Diseases About three million Americans are severely allergic to soy protein, wheat protein, peanut protein and many other products used by farmers to grow their cattles. These animals would normally just eat grass and they are not designed to digest these types of foods. High concentrates of these foods go in milk and meat, humans eating these especially when fetus and kids become allergic.
Foods on the top of the food chain (fish, meat, milk, eggs, etc) contain 80 000 x more toxic products than those at the bottom of the fod chain (plant-based foods: fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, etc)
At least 50 chemicals used in agro-business can cause cancers.
Meat usually contain 15 times more toxic residues than foods of the vegetal kingdom.
There's not many vitamins, minerals and essential micronutrients in animal products. There's some decent amount of fat in many foods, not just butter, oils, etc. There's fats in lean meat too. Even cereals like oats, it's 16% fats. But, do you want that fat to be liquid and flow in your body and to be used as energy, or do you want that it stick in solid fatty matter into your veins, blocking the blood flow ? Think about it...
See this video that explains all about animal products and their effects on our bodies.
People who eat shark thins think it will preserve them from cancers, because sharks have less cancers than humans...
People who eat brains from monkeys or cows think it will make them more intelligent... If they could eat Einstein's brain they would do it... I bet they don't know that Einstein was so intelligent without eating any brain, nor any other form of meat, in fact he was vegetarian.
It is common to hear : "eat meat if you want to be muscular". Because people think : "eat muscles to have muscles. Eat proteins to have proteins." Of course. But their logic don't go any further than that. They don't seem to know that these animals gained muscles by eating grass. This is first order food. All proteins, in all food, including our own proteins, all come from plants. Vegetarian animals eat grass, grains, etc. Carnivorous animals eat vegetarian animals, to have some of the nutrients found in the vegetarian diet. Meat is a second order food.
Most carnivore animals are weak parasites that have less stamina and strenght than herbivores. They are out of breathe after running for ten seconds and will not catch most of the preys. They need a factor of chance : to attack in the middle of a large group of preys so that they might catch a baby or one that is weak or sick. Hervivores, vegan and fruitarian animals are the strongest animals on Earth, with increddible strenght and endurance. Horses, donkeys, camels are used as slaves to do the work that humans are not able to do by eating meat, like pulling heavy loads over long distances.
Some big herbivores and vegans : Gorillas, horses, rhinos, elephants, some of the largest dinosaurs like the Brachiosaurus (about 40 feet tall) and the Stegosaurus.
Some dinosaurs were carnivores (meat-eaters)(35%) but most were herbivores (plant-eaters) (65%). In any food chain, there have to be more organisms at the lower levels of the chain because the transfer of food energy is inefficient and much of the energy is lost at each stage of the process.
Animals suffer, they feel emotions, pain, love; they need affection, they want to love and want to be loved. Animals can cry, as you can see in this video. Tears of pain and sadness. A cow can cry because she knows she will die soon. A mother cow can cry the disapearance of her baby too. And the baby cries because she lost her mother. Watch 3:45 to 4:15. Those 30 seconds should suffice to convince anybody to give up meat. Except if you're a psychopath and have no remorse and feel no emotions whatsoever... are you a psychopath? Stop paying mercenaries to the the job for you. If you do like meat, you should like it enough to eat it like real carnivore animals do: eat it raw, and the whole body, and no matter if it's dead since a few days under the sun. Don't say "oh I just eat lean meat", that's fucking sick.
I want to post a comment on youtube to reply to what a weird guy said about this video:
But there's a bug that stops me from posting it, like it often happens on youtube. So I'll post it here until it works someday :
In this post, I'll developp my thesis that demonstrates that Man was eating meat because he had no significant brain at the time, and that moving towards a vegan diet is just part of the natural evolution of human intelligentsia.
Fossilized human excrements were found in different continents and belonging to different prehistoric ages. By analizing the DNA, scientists made a shocking discovery, even for them. Analysis showed very little animal proteins, but almost only DNA of the plant kingdom : proteins of crushed seeds and nuts, grains, etc.
So, contrary to most people think, humans haven't always eat meat, even in prehistoric ages. There's always been some vegan nations, before, now, and probably more in the future -- I hope...
All animal proteins are foods of second category, they offer less quality nutritional properties. Men have always been eating foods from the nature, like the simple gesture to pick a fruit. That being said, there were times and occasions where men had no other choice to eat meat, so they were forced, that is why meat is called a survival food, and because it doesn't provide health benefits other than just to survive. This happened during the Ice Age, or even right now in Alaska, Groenland, Yukon, et cetera.
It is true that Mas was killing animals and eating their dead flesh when his brain wasn't developped enough. Once human brain evolved to a superior level, he invented a complex system of agriculture. We learned what is the optimal nutrition for humans. We stopped moving to find food, we became sedentary and started to invent and build things, the first societies were born.
Today, we're completely disconnected to reality and to our real needs. We're connected to what the medias say. They're braindead, and sometimes for a brief moment they awake when they're immersed in nature or if they witness acts of cruelty to an animal. If they're lucky, they might learn something from it, but unfortunately most of them, most of the times, it will be placed into a dark place of their brain and they will fall again into simple routine of accepting and ignoring all stupidities and murders surrounding them.
Would it be exagerated to say that people who eat meat nowadays don't have a brain ? It is permitted to think whatever we judge reasonnable, but I would rather say that when a meateater decides to make the transition to a plant-based diet, it is a great step for this person, her soul, karma, and there's certainly no con in the whole Universe resulting this choice. It necessitates to be conscious and aware of more things and it shows this person learned how to utilize more potential of her brain. It is not a choice anymore, so much the actual situation is critic. It is our duty as Earthlings (those who innhabits planet Earth). We'll soon be 9 billion of people on Earth, and it is simply impossible to continue on using energies the way we do and with that kind of nutrition based on animal exploitation. Lack of space, explosion of pollution, et cetera. Vegetarianism don't solve any problems, it is purely a choice for dietary tastes ("I don't like the taste of meat") or for health (no meat). The dairy cows, their babies, the laying hens, sheep for their wool, they're all being killed even if everybody was vegetarian. Veganism solve ALL problems related to human nutrition and animals rights, no matter what frustrated meateaters can say.
When I hear omnivores today saying : "we should eat meat, even cavemen were eating meat". Well, if they are the model you chose to base your life on, fine. Therefore you should also go hunt by yourself, with rudimentary tools. For my part, I prefer to chose as role models modern geniuses like Einstein or other great minds such as Pythagoras, Darwin... who were all vegetarians or vegans.
It is obvious that a vegan diet is the future.
EINSTEIN: "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."
LEONARDO DA VINCI He considered the bodies of meat-eaters to be "burial places," graveyards for the animals they eat. His notebooks are full of passages that show his compassion for living creatures. He lamented, "Endless numbers of these animals shall have their little children taken from them, ripped open, and barbarously slaughtered."
"I have learned from an early age to abjure the use of meat, and the time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men."
PYTHAGORAS "As long as Man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love."
We can say many things about "the orgininal diet" of Man and what's optimal nutrition for mankind, that's because we can litterally dump whatever we want in our stomach like in a trashcan and it will digest. But that's not optimum at all. The fact that we can eat only meat, or only plant-based foods, or both, does not mean we are omnivores by nature. The true omnivores on the planet are very rare, the dog and the bear are omnivores. Humans are frugivores. The diet perfect for us consist of fruits, nuts and greens. To know what's optimum between a carnivorous diet and a vegan diet, compare the general health and athletic level of Eskimos or Inuits, who have a short life and the highest rate of osteoporisis on the planet; compare with vegans and fruitarians, who include gold medalists athletes like Carl Lewis (see my blog on this matter)
Micheal BlueJay writes : "Human performance is highest on meat-free diets
Vegetarian and vegan athletes are at the top in their sports. Carl Lewis, the runner, won nine Olympic gold medals. Lewis says that he had his best performance as an athlete after he adopted a vegan diet.
The famed bodybuilder, Andreas Cahling, is also vegan. Ditto for former Mr. USA and Mr. America, Jim Morris.
Ruth Heidrich, a vegan Ironman triathlete and marathon runner has racked up more than 700 first-place trophies and set several performance records. She was also named One of the 10 Fittest Women in North America.
Of course it's true that most athletes eat meat, but that's because most people eat meat. Given how well vegetarian athletes perform, meat-eating athletes would undoubtedly perform even better if they ate less animal foods. And while reliable statistics are hard to come by, there is little doubt that athletes in general have been moving towards vegetarianism in large numbers over the past twenty years." ...- Micheal BlueJay. On his website he talks about all the clichés that omnivores have towards vegans. His text summarize about pretty much everything there is know on this subject. http://michaelbluejay.com/veg/natural.html
Finding what's optimal for us helps to know what we're biologically designed for, therefore what's optimal to achieve the highest level of physical and intellectual performances. A carnivorous defender may claim that we have canines to tear meat. Truth is, look at the dentition of cats, wolves, any carnivorous animals, then look at ours. We have nothing even ressembling like canines, except how it's named, simply because of the emplacement of those teeth. Secondo : teeth don't mean anything, look at the immense canines of gorillas, don't tell me this is to eat meat. (see my post about dentition)
It is obvious to me that we aren't optimized nor designed to eat meat. If we look at our body, there's absolutly nothing particulary agressive about it. We don't have a predator body. We look pretty pathetic beside panthers, wolves and crocodiles. Our teeth, hands and fingernails are innoffensive, compared to animal claws and teeth. Our instinct don't even guide us toward eating meat : we wouldn't go bite in the leg of a cow or a dead racoon on the side of a road. On the other hand, our hands are perfectly designed to pick fruits. Contrary to belief, we have not always been carnivorous. Meat is a survival food, and men ate it during Ice Age, or you may need to eat meat if you live today in Alaska, Groenland, Yukon, et cetera. To survive, because meat is a survival food, a food of poor quality when it comes to thrive and achieve full human potential.
There's this idea of anorexic looking vegans in meateaters' minds. Truth is there's obese, normal and anorexics in all diets. I myself can lose 10 pounds in one week on a vegan diet, and gain those 10 pounds back in 2 weeks. I can gain bodyfat or only lean mass. It's all about calories and activity level. A vegan diet is deficient ? Analyze what the content of a fruit or vegetable on nutritiondata.com and compare the amounts of vitamins and minerals with meat, you'll see. "Vegans short on 3 nutritents Meat eaters short on 7" Here's what Dr. Michael Greger say:
Vegan Diets Deficient in Three Nutrients? Well, Meateaters are Deficient in Seven!
The latest data on the dietary intakes of vegans was just published last month.[1] The diets of about 100 vegans were recorded for a week and were found deficient in calcium, iodine and vitamin B12. Using the same standards, though, the standard American diet are deficient in 7 nutrients! The diet of your average American is not only also deficient in calcium and iodine, it's deficient in vitamin C, vitamin E, fiber, folate, and magnesium as well.[2]
Not only does the American public have over twice as many nutritional deficiencies in their diets, vegans were shown to have higher intakes of 16 out of the 19 nutrients studied, includeing calcium. The vegans were getting more than enough protein on average and three times more vitamin C, three times more vitamin E, three times more fiber. Vegans got twice the folate, twice the magnesium, twice the copper, twice the manganese.
... So when a meateater asks you "Where you get your B12?" You can counter with "Where do you get your vitamin C, vitamin E, fiber, folate, and magnesium? And while you're at it, you can ask them how they keep their sodium, saturated fat, total fat and cholesterol intake under control (not to mention their weight).
... And their sexual impotence, and their agressivity. Their heart attacks and cancers...
In fruits and greens you can find all vitamins and minerals, fibres, healthy fats high in poly and mono unsaturated fatty acids. There's no cholesterol in the plant kingdom. On a vegan diet, you end up eating incredibly less chemicals and toxins than on a diet based on animal products, because you eat more foods at the bottom of the food chain, that grew on sunlight and water. The flesh of fish contains 10 million times more methyl mercury than in the water they live in. You get from natural foods all the energy you need to thrive, with endurance and strenght. Meat is not food offered by nature, it's corpses, a waste of the nature. -Meat = constipation. There's no fibres at all. Animal products: low in most vitamins and minerals. High in fats, especially saturated fats, cholesterol is found only in the animal kingdom. Today, milk and all dairies as well as meat contains things nobody -- even people on an omnivore diet -- would want to put in their body : -Meat: adrenalin and lactic acid injected in muscles during the ultimate last moments of stress before the animal is slaughtered, toxins, antibiotics, grownt hormones, all pesticides, insecticides and other chemicals accumulated by the animals through the food chain, blood, excrements and pus in milk -- this liquid meat is a poison that needs to be pasteurized in order to get rid of all it's bacterias and risks for health. At least 75% of ground beef contains shit and E. Coli bacteria. 98% of chicken sold in USA contains excrements. At least 50% of fish contains parasites. Fish are also very toxic; just one small portion of fish exceeds the tolerated amount of mercury and other heavy metals that are estimated as being harmful to human health.
This is where I talk about everything -- me, things I don't like and things I like : cinema, photography and all forms of arts as well as sports and nutritrion.

Number of animals killed in the world by the meat, dairy and egg industries, since you opened this webpage. This counter does not include the billions of fish and sea animals killed annually.
