New Beginning

I feel I need to do something. I woke up at 5:30 this morning with a new passion that has been growing in my mind for some days now : cooking.
I mean I love food, I love eating since always while neglecting this interest-- because I felt it was selfish towards the poors who die from hunger in third countries ? -- or perhaps since about 2 or 3 years ago I'm more concerned about my health and my physique I began to check calories, fat, proteins, etc I don't wanna gain bodyfat so I began training too, anyway, started to be more concerned about my appearance -- another reason may be I felt Eating just for pleasure is a sin -- eventhough I'm not catholic at all neither religious.
EDIT: food posts of recipes and stuff are not on this blog but on my other blog  here .
ANYWAY, here I am, cleared of all my hypothetic sins, free to do what I like at last. Here I am this morning in front of my computer, whishing this is not only good will but that I will actually DO this. I want to do stuff because it's the only thing that really matters. One can think all he wants, it's acts that count. For instance, don't only love animals, but don't eat them for Christ sake! One can say things, it doesn't change anything and it's nothing but words. Like one can say that only one person cannot change anything in the world. WRONG. Be the change you wish to see in the world. (Gandhi said that?). It's not true that being vegan doesn't saves lives and that one person isn't enough because : one person that stops eating meat saves the life of 100 animals per year! So basically that's over 800 animals I've been saving so far in 8 years, don't tell me that's nothing. All this just by eating delicious dishes such as featured on those links to the right.

what I want to do here is to recussitate this blog (eventhough it never was really born neither really lived) and write interesting stuff about my life or things I like in life.

My interests/passions are : in this order : Me, Arts, Sports, Food (vegan ;). Of course, above all: Life, and all that it involves ::: travelling, knowing me better and the others.

ME (espescially since I'm vegan (since 2008 -- I was vegeterian for 8 years before that -- I love being vegan, I love myself since I'm vegan, I love other vegans, and I love vegan foods !! I think everybody who claim things without knowing what they're talking about should at least TRY veganism and see for themselves -- one cannot know before EXPERIENCING it.
Of course I'm passionate about other things than this. I can be passionately in love with someone -- someone else than me, but it's been quite a long time since it happened now. I love ARTS -- especially photography and cinema. And those two things are actually the only two things I'd like to work in to make some money. About arts, I love the idea of expressing emotions. I like -- even feel the need to -- express myself through CREATIVITY through arts like taking pictures, painting, making films. I have no talent for making music though I really enjoy listening to it. I need to get more serious about the act of creations -- films and photos -- to make more professional work of arts because until today it's just trials and mistakes, experiments and not even good experiments. Maybe going to University or some special intensive classes in Filmmaking or Photography wouldn't be a very bad idea to get started. Oh yeah and I like wirting too, as you can see. Writing novels, essays (on nutrition, sports, etc) and screenplays, I'd love to do that as a way to earn cash! Or just travelling with an iBook and blogging about the cities I visit, places I discover, people I meet, etc.
I also love SPORTS. It's another way of expressing oneself, but through the body. With mediation, yoga, energy passing through the body, transforming energy. Or actually really create matter (muscles -- like a sculpter) with BODYBUILDING. Visit vegan bodybuilding.com
I have a special interest in MARTIAL ARTS too. Bruce Lee. I shall begin to practice kung-fu, mui thai and other martial arts. Perhaps Judo  too, and Jeet-Kune Do.
I love especially bodyweight training because it's natural and no equipment needed... bodyweightculture.com. I have a thing for MINIMALISM, in life (simplicity, no stress-- to me simplicity is perfection) but espescially in the absence of materialism, low consumption. I want the minimum amount of objects possible. I don't want to own anything except myself and the minimal stuff -- clothes, maybe a portable computer, a car to travel -- things to be autonomous, independant, self-sufficient... free.

Retrouver l'instinct originel alimentaire.

Conscious Living

I had those thoughs while walking outside some minutes ago... Under the sun, and the moon at the other extreme of the beautiful blue sky. Listenin to very loud trance-lounge arabic music in my headphones. With my fruits and greens in my bag.

Conscious Living
Conscious Breathing
Conscious Eating
For conscious health and conscious planet
Are you living consciously, or unconsciously ?
Do you think you're a conscious human being
if you're killing animals everyday?
Killing them by eating them
Eating meat, promoting slavery
and abuse of chickens and cows
by eating eggs and milk ?

Don't tell me you love and respect others,
Nature and Life,
don't tell me you're an environmentalist,
ecologist, pacifist
if you kill everyday, just for your pleasure
If you're conscious that eating dead meat
is taking the life of an animal
but you're still doing it
then you're cruel, egoist,
you don't care
If you never thought about it
then you're unconscious
Ignorance is not so bad
but you need to do something
to change it and stop it

Modern World

I fuckin hate Modernity.
Lmost every aspects and details of it makes me swear bad words, shouting "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" even in the middle of Nature where normally I would be quiet and calm and serene. But I can't relax because there's always something modern somewhere no matter where we go. Like noise from cars or pollution, or our even the clothes we wear.
I'm writting this because I was cycling today. It's a modern road bike (even if it's over 10 years old and alreay parcoured over 300 000 km), with modern equipment. Thing is that MODERN STUFF SUCKS. It always brakes. It's made to brake after a limited time, so we need to repair it. But we don't wanna repair it, because most of times it's simpler and cheaper to buy a new one. So EVERTHING IS DESIGNED TO EXPIRE AFTER A SHORT TIME, to be replaced after a short period of time, so we constantly buy new things to make the economy wheel keep turning.
Before, things were made more simple, with good quality, lasting 10 times longer. Today, people buy things at 1$ stores and throw it away after few days then buy a new one.

I fuckin bought an odometer for my bike a few weeks ago, and I even bought one of the models at 55$ instead of the ones at 20$, just to make sure it lasts longer... But guess what, after less than a month of use, it's already defectious, and I don't even have the copy of the bill any more, and even if I had it, I couldn't get a refund because I'm in another city than the store I bought the thing. So now I'm at the starting point, without a tool to measure the distance I'm cycling this season, and 60$ less in my pockets.

Also, everything is falling apart on this fuckin bike, every piece, every screw needs to be fixed. The pedals and shoes are making noise every 2 seconds. The gears are changing when I don't want to, so in the middle of a hill, it goeas one gear up and I fuckin shout "FUCK!" while climbing.

This whole modern world is crazy. It's like 40 Celcius outside, but I see people eating their greasy French fries, with cheeseburger, poutine, pizza, it smells ketchup and vinegar when I pass by the terasse of a restaurant and I see big fat guys and unhealthy families with their kids eating those foods. I mean, don't they ever take a break from this shit - from their more-winter nutrition... don't they ever eat fruits or grean salads, even during summer?? And coffe and cigarettes while it's so hot outside, so fucking disgusting that it gives headaches.

MODERNITY, new technologies... People that are disconnected to reality, to themselves, to the others, to the Universe, to Life to everthing. People have lost touch, grip, connection, SYNCHRONICITY. Today, when people have a few minutes or seconds of synchronicity with the rest of the world, they feel amazed. But before, before technologies and industrial world, it was always like that, it was a normal thing. BEFORE, PEOPLE WERE ALWAYS IN SYNCHRONICITY WITH THE WHOLE UNIVERSE and it was nothing so extraordinary because it was just obvious and normal, it was like that at every single moment of their life, at every awakened instant. At least, for some anciant and native nations, like the Mayans. But now, people live in stress, frustrations, self-guilty, gluttony and other sins, etc. People are blind and lost and don't know where they're going and they don't think and don't care about anything.

après-soleil

Clean

A way to save energy, and a more efficient way to wash yourself, very simple but few people do it : start with hot or warm water to open the pores of your skin and to clean in deep, then finnish with cold water to close the pores and while you rinse. You don't need to use so much hot water, especially in summer when it's so much more refreshing to take quick showers with cold water.

You can use a similar principle for when you're cooking. Just put your pastas into boiling water for just 2 minutes, turn off heat, cover and let stim for 14-20 minutes.

Stay straight, wash yourself, etc...

Longevity : don't curl your body like if you're disabled. Stay straight when you stand or sit. Choose one at once, not a mix of all : lying to sleep, sit, stand, etc... Bike instead of Run. Run instead of walk. Walk instead of sit. Sit instead of lie. Sleep also, very important ; ) And eat, but not while doing something else at the same time like the above.
